I would like to thank both The Katipo and Fisher for all their help in moderating our forums for the past year and for all their contributions as members of the GW Community! I'd also like to thank Feeny for all his help in moderating the Rehab Room forum and the MMORPG forum! Thank you for all your contributions and insightful posts.
The Katipo has had a lot of exciting things to keep her busy in RL and will be stepping down as a moderator, but I know we all look forward to seeing her around on the boards when she has time to check in!
I'd love to hear more about your art gallery and new job, and I'm sure others would love to as well!
Both Feeny and Fisher will be keeping their current moderating positions, though I am waiting to hear back from Fisher for sure, but until then, her spot is filled.
I know several of you expressed interest, and we need moderators for the following forums:
General
Introductions
Media Room, Current Events & Gaming News
RL or Real Life (also for Off Topic Posts)
Fun and Jokes
Suggestions
Widow(er) Alley
MMORPG Widow(er)s forum
Fantasy/RP Games Widow(er)s
Action/Fighting Games Widow(er)s
All Other Gamer Widow(er)s
Some Moderator duties include:
• Moderators must be fairly active on the boards. It's okay if you aren't on every day, but just enough to check and monitor your forum every week.
• Monitor and maintain the safety of GW members and those they refer to (by discouraging and/or removing negative comment or personal information being supplied)
• Identify and prohibit spamming
• Report any misuse of the forums within the Moderator forum
• Encourage participation and contribution from a variety of perspectives
Also, it's okay if you've never moderated a forum before! It's really easy and myself, Lyoness or another Moderator can easily teach you how.
Right now, we'd like to have at least two Moderators per forum of those I listed above.
If you are interested, email me at melissa@gamerwidow.com with why you would like to be a moderator, any experience you may have, and also a list of which forums you are interested in moderating. You can list these in the order of which you have the most interest in to the least interest, also how many forums you are interested in moderating whether it just be one forum or two, etc. You can also PM me your application through the boards too!

EDIT: We will stop accepting applications tomorrow, Friday, February 9 at 12 a.m. CST. Also, the moderator positions will be for a period of 6 months and then we will revisit them.
